About the Role

The Day Porter is a key member of the Virtual Employee team, responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout our commercial building. This role requires a strong customer service focus, as the Day Porter will interact with tenants, contractors, and the general public on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and prioritize work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Services team to ensure seamless building operations
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building maintenance and safety protocols
  • Empty trash and recyclables throughout common areas and tenant spaces
  • Check and maintain all restroom hardware, including toilets, sinks, and faucets
  • Dust and clean all restroom surfaces, including partitions, furniture, and fixtures
  • Wipe down vanities, empty trash, and restock paper supplies in restrooms
  • Clean and polish all wood, metal, and glass finishes in common areas
  • Vacuum and mop all floors in restrooms, lobbies, and common areas
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout exterior grounds and sweep building entranceways
  • Assist with snow removal services at building entryways as needed

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Frequent stooping, pushing, pulling, and walking, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
