Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the enterprise risk management program and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, and documentation of risks.
  • Provide education on risk management practices to management and staff.
  • Maintain the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and support risk assessments across various business units.
  • Ensure a uniform approach to risk assessment throughout the organization.
  • Identify and address control gaps that may elevate risk levels.
  • Research emerging risks and benchmark against industry standards.
  • Monitor risk exposures to ensure they align with established tolerances.
  • Support the identification of risks associated with new initiatives and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Manage ongoing risk management processes and documentation.
  • Develop and review risk management reports using the organization's software platform.
  • Act as a liaison with the corporate insurance broker to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Oversee the vendor management program, ensuring timely documentation and assessments.
  • Facilitate training on enterprise and vendor risk management.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and ensure compliance with identified corrective actions.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are performed in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Perform supportive tasks as needed to fulfill the essential functions of the role.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in risk management within a financial institution.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment. The role requires the ability to remain stationary for extended periods and engage in regular communication with colleagues and members.
