Job Opportunity

DEKA Research & Development is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electro-mechanical system architecture designs, specifications, and upper-level design descriptions.
  • Define critical interfaces between subsystems to ensure proper system function.
  • Establish system-level test strategies, test specifications, and protocols.
  • Conduct hazards analysis, failure modes analysis, and mitigation design.
  • Collaborate with the project team to drive design goals, including product cost, size, weight, durability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
  • Estimate effort required to complete design tasks and provide guidance to manufacturing process development.

Requirements:

  • MS/BS in Engineering with at least 5+ years' experience in electro-mechanical machine and/or product design.
  • Demonstrated experience in new product development environments, including embedded software, complex mechanical systems, and electronics.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills and a history of inventive solutions to technical problems.
  • Experience with requirements definition and management for performance, standards compliance, and testing.
