Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packer - Heat Seal Specialist to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our packaging production team, you will be responsible for packing ware from multiple injection molding machines, utilizing written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface. Your attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills will ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastics safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pack ware from multiple injection molding machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.
  • Utilize a foot pedal to initiate heat on machine to seal bags closed.
  • Conduct quality inspections using specific written and visual guidelines.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastics safety requirements.
  • Print production tickets using computer interface.
  • Accurately complete all forms.
  • Assemble gaylord boxes to be used for storage and transport of finished product.
  • Effectively communicate with all internal departments.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices and any other applicable Prerequisite Programs associated with the Food Safety System.
  • Understand and follow safety policy and requirements specified in applicable EHS documents.
  • Know where applicable system documents are located.
  • Report actual and potential safety incidents and emergencies to managers or supervisors.
  • Communicate system non-conformances to managers or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to remain stationary and stand for 12 hours shifts.
  • Ability to read and understand SOP and job packets.
Work Environment

This role is based in a plant manufacturing setting, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
