Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, collecting medical history, and reviewing patient charts.
- Perform various clinical tasks, such as drawing blood, administering medications, and conducting EKGs.
- Assist healthcare providers with exams and procedures, including preparing equipment and supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a medical assisting program preferred.
- CPR certification required within six months of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
This position requires working in a clinical setting, with frequent exposure to patients and healthcare providers. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
