Little Leaders of KCK is in search of a dynamic, enthusiastic, and dedicated early childhood educator to take charge of our infant classroom. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for working with young children and their families, while also being an effective collaborator within a teaching team.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be a responsible individual with the emotional and physical capability to fulfill daily responsibilities and foster positive relationships.
- High school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed educational setting.
- Compliance with state regulations for licensed childcare programs, including a current health assessment, negative TB test, and valid first aid and CPR certification.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is mandatory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing, supportive, and safe environment that promotes the developmental growth of infants.
- Design and implement age-appropriate educational activities that target various developmental areas, including motor skills, social interaction, and sensory exploration.
- Observe and document infants' development and behavior, noting milestones and any potential developmental concerns.
- Assist with diaper changes and potty-training while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Feed infants according to established schedules and dietary guidelines provided by parents or caregivers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of infants at all times, adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain open communication with parents or caregivers regarding the infants' progress and individual needs.
- Keep the learning environment clean, safe, engaging, and suitable for infants.
- Administer first aid as needed and respond to medical emergencies involving infants.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including meetings, conferences, and workshops, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
