Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a Solo Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to customers within a 150-mile radius of New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits
  • Weekly guarantee of $1500
  • 50 hours of work per week
  • Solo miles pay: $0.543 per mile with miles per day
  • Solo stops pay: $20.67 per stop with 5-7 stops per day
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k rollover with company match
