We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Basic Bedside Care: Stabilize critical cardiac patients and provide essential care to ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Perform Medical Procedures: Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer Medication: Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, and report any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and Adjust Equipment: Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays to ensure accurate patient care.
- Initiate Corrective Action: Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
- Education: Current RN licensure and a degree in nursing.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
- Experience: 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
