Position Overview:

In the role of Asphalt Paving Machine Operator, you will be responsible for managing the screed component of our paving machinery to achieve a flawless asphalt surface. Your collaboration with the team will be vital in ensuring the highest quality outcomes for our projects.

Primary Duties:

  • Operate the screed to apply asphalt at specified widths and depths
  • Monitor the temperature and flow of asphalt to maintain a consistent surface
  • Adjust screed configurations to comply with designated grades and inclines
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machinery
  • Work in conjunction with the paving team for optimal efficiency
  • Adhere to safety protocols
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Asphalt Paving Machine Operator
  • Familiarity with asphalt paving methods and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret project blueprints and specifications
  • Mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
  • Possession of a valid driver's license; CDL is advantageous
