About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Sunrise Services, Inc. as a Mental Health Specialist. In this role, you will work with vulnerable populations in need of care, making a meaningful difference in the community you serve.

About the Program

The Enhanced Services Facility is a 16-bed facility that provides patients with a smooth transition from a hospital setting by offering assisted living and care for those with complex behavioral challenges. Our main goal is to help individuals participate and stabilize in their community.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the physical health needs of residents and make appropriate referrals to community physicians.
  • Provide supervision, management, and administration of medication within the scope of practice.
  • Initiate data collection and analysis to develop nursing diagnoses and identify client problems.
  • Plan nursing care to assist residents with maintaining or restoring health and wellness or supporting a dignified death.
  • Implement the plan of care by initiating nursing interventions through direct care and supervising other members of the care team.
  • Regularly observe residents for changes in physical, mental, and emotional functioning to determine if needs are being met.
  • Coordinate health care between the resident, their chosen health professionals, and the ESF.
  • Notify Administrator if significant changes in medical conditions occur that may potentially require additional support services.
  • Provide instruction to residents and staff for the use of any and all prescribed medications and medical treatments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in nursing (BSN/MSN) and two years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience in mental health setting, with demonstrated ability to relate effectively with people of varied backgrounds, is preferred.
  • RN per WAC.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift approximately 20-30 pounds and physically assist unsteady residents.
  • Current valid Washington driver's license, with excellent driving record and $50,000 liability insurance (Preferred, not required).
  • Skill using Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated leadership ability.
