Job Description:
- Provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of
Deliver patient care through a Relationship-Centered Care professional practice model. Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and caregivers about care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention. Manage assignments within a Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying opportunities for improvement. Implement quality improvement strategies and engage in peer and institutional review processes. Perform charge nurse duties and coordinate with clinical managers to ensure supply and staffing needs are met. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Support professional development and encourage lifelong learning and participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and unit initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's of Science with a major in nursing preferred.
- An associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
