We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy services to individuals and groups in various settings, including acute care, skilled nursing, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients/residents, including nutrition assessments, provider order recommendations, and education and counseling on disease and nutrition risk management.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy services, including verbal orders, diet modification, nutrition support, and oral nutrition supplements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize self-management education and skills in the care of clients/patients/residents with chronic conditions.
- Evaluate treatments or procedures for effectiveness using an evidence-based approach.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited program.
- Clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of postgraduate internship required.
- Currently holds Registered Dietitian (RD) license within the applicable state(s).
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
