We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Auditor to join our team at FireKeepers Casino Hotel. As a Revenue Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial and revenue-related functions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough audits and reviews of financial reports, documentation, and supporting information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Retrieve and transport documents safely and securely, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Sort, review, and prepare documentation for audit processes, maintaining accurate records and registers.
- Monitor and maintain controlled documents, ensuring integrity and compliance with internal controls.
- Review documents for completeness, authenticity, authorization, accuracy, and proper use.
- Generate and review system reports, reconciling reports to manually-generated reports.
- Enter system and manual reports into audit spreadsheets, reviewing data entry for accuracy.
- Investigate unexpected or unreasonable deviations, communicating findings to management.
- Research cash variations exceeding predetermined thresholds, reporting results to Revenue Audit and/or Financial Department management.
- Review account balances at predetermined frequencies, cooperating with Accounting staff to prepare periodic reconciliations.
- Assist with monitoring of financial activities to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and controls.
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality requirements, maintaining the integrity of all facets of the Revenue Audit process.
- High School diploma or GED required; some college courses in accounting or related area preferred.
- Proficiency in applicable software highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytic skills required.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, maintaining a consistent attendance record.
- Experience with audits and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software, such as Excel.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
The physical demands of this position require regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
