Job SummaryThis part-time Registered Nurse position is available in our Pediatric Emergency Department, working 48 hours bi-weekly. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of previous nursing experience, with a preference for pediatric ED and pediatric experience. A graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a BSN preferred, will be required to be eligible for Delaware State license (or compact license). Bilingual skills are also a plus.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and provide care to assigned patients
- Utilize critical thinking to formulate nursing plans based on patient complex needs and problems
- Formulate, implement, and evaluate nursing plans based on patient complex needs and problems
- Assist patients and families in discharge planning to ensure problems and care needs are anticipated and met
- Serve as an advocate for patients and families in working with other members of the healthcare team
- Provide safe and appropriate nursing care through adherence to Nursing Department standards
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- 2-3 years of previous nursing experience
- Pediatric ED and pediatric experience preferred
- Eligible for Delaware State license (or compact license)
- Bilingual skills preferred
- American Heart Association BLS required upon hire
