Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant or LPN to join our Cardiology team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians/providers in delivering patient care, working within your scope of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking and recording vital signs as applicable.
  • Prepare exam and/or treatment rooms, selecting and setting up medical supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with various personnel and departments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Give injections, apply splints and dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under provider orders.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
  • May assist in scheduling patients for tests, initial and follow-up appointments.
  • May maintain patient files, records, and other information, including entry of data into electronic medical records.
  • May provide phone screening of patients to appropriate clinical staff and/or physicians.
  • May transport specimens.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant/Medical Office Assistant program or accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program.
  • Current Washington State MA certification or LPN licensure.
  • Unlicensed upcoming graduate of a Medical Assistant or LPN program will also be considered.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at date of hire.
