Position Overview:
As an Early Childhood Educator at Primrose School of Peachtree Corners, you will play a vital role in nurturing young learners as they explore and comprehend their surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities and overall supervision of a classroom of children.
- Adhere to all guidelines and regulations set forth by the institution and relevant regulatory bodies concerning child health, safety, and care.
- Continuously assess and address each child's developmental needs.
- Execute approved lesson plans and maintain the daily classroom schedule aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
- Create and sustain an engaging and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making.
- Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared spaces, and outdoor areas.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose Employee Handbook.
- Assist in additional duties as assigned by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
- Must fulfill the basic requirements set by local child care regulatory agencies.
- Previous experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and care of children, including the proper handling of infants.
- For Infant and Preschool Teachers: A two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
