Family Medicine Physician

Position Overview:
The Primary Care Physician (PCP) plays a crucial role within a collaborative healthcare team, delivering essential medical diagnostics and therapeutic services. This role includes referring patients for specialized care and providing education and preventive health advice to all individuals served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver care that aligns with licensure and certification standards.
- Conduct diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and management of patients in accordance with contemporary medical practices.
- Employ managed care methodologies to ensure cost-effective utilization of laboratory, radiology, and ancillary services, including specialists and hospitals.
- Maintain timely and thorough medical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems as per organizational protocols.
- Collaborate with peers and employed specialists, such as dermatologists and podiatrists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Facilitate effective communication and educational initiatives for patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
- Engage in educational programs for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and support staff to enhance patient care.
- Participate in business and patient care meetings to discuss strategies and improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
- Completion of Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to specific diseases through lab confirmation or documented vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Understanding of managed care environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various health plans.
