Work Hours: Minimum of 6 hours per week, as determined by the Director of Adult Education & Literacy.

Work Schedule: Flexible; may include evening and morning hours during class semesters. This role requires on-site presence.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will operate under the guidance of the Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction, delivering educational sessions in ESL and Adult Education. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining student engagement, managing documentation, and participating in professional development initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of two years of experience in educational settings or teaching roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver educational instruction in English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking, as well as other assigned subjects.
  • Conduct assessments and facilitate goal-setting discussions with students.
  • Implement instructional strategies that lead to measurable educational improvements.
  • Engage with students who have unexplained absences to support their progress and retention.
  • Document student interactions and maintain comprehensive learning records.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation related to student progress and evaluations.
  • Notify supervisors of any support services required by students.
  • Adhere to program policies and maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed.
