About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at JBS USA Holdings, Inc. in Columbia, MO. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively operate standard maintenance tools and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including PMs
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues without direct supervision
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Assist with resolving problems and perform work as needed
  • Follow all safety rules and departmental policies
  • Complete closeout activities, including returning tools and materials to storage
  • Follow all departmental processes regarding tool and material checkout
  • Understand and certify LOTO procedures
  • Identify and inform team on daily pass-down issues and actions
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
  • High-level of Mechanical/Engineering knowledge
  • Previous production maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work and implement solutions
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
  • Noise level in the work areas can be loud
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather and chemicals
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs regularly
  • Able to climb under and over piping and equipment as needed
