Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support K-12 students with speech and language disorders in a school setting. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct therapy services, document progress, and collaborate with school staff to improve students' communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Therapy Services: Deliver speech-language therapy sessions as outlined in students treatment plans, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of student progress.
  • Support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Assist in the development and execution of IEPs, aligning with school district policies and state regulations.
  • Track Student Progress: Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with School Staff: Work closely with SLPs, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless communication and coordination, ultimately supporting student success.
  • Maintain Compliance: Adhere to school district policies and state regulations, upholding high standards of professional practice.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: Hold an Associates Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field, with valid MOSLPA license/certification.
  • Experience: Preferably possess experience in school or pediatric settings, demonstrating expertise in speech-language pathology.
  • Skills and Qualities: Possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow treatment plans and work independently under supervision.
