Overview

Dignity Health has been a cornerstone of healthcare for over 70 years, delivering extensive medical services in the North State. Our facility, a 267-bed hospital, is equipped with a Level II Trauma Center and provides specialized care in areas such as Cardiovascular, Stroke, Orthopedics, Neurology, Comprehensive Cancer, Maternity, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. We proudly offer the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County and are committed to community health through our various programs and services.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will serve as an experienced Respiratory Therapist, proficient in executing all therapies offered by the Respiratory Care Department across the hospital with minimal supervision. This role may involve assisting in the management of staffing requirements and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience or 3 years of clinical exposure as mandated for a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care within an acute care environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care accompanied by current Adult Critical Care Specialty certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and demonstrate critical thinking capabilities.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required (certification must be through the American Heart Association).
  • Possession of a valid California RCP license in good standing is essential.
  • RRT and NRP certifications are mandatory.
  • NPS credentialing must be achieved within one year of employment.
  • EEG training is required to be completed within one year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an acute care setting, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care.
  • Bachelor's degree with current Adult Critical Care Specialty and Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty certifications.

Compensation

Competitive pay at $62.26 per hour.
