Position Summary:
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice, providing quality and compassionate care to patients in need of complete eye care services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and interact with patients in a professional manner.
- Obtain and document patient history, including medical records and visual acuity assessments.
- Perform automated refraction and administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by physicians.
- Enter data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and maintain accurate records.
- Provide patient services, including scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
- Maintain equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as needed.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to seek instruction in areas where knowledge is lacking.
- Ability to recognize inconsistencies and take corrective action.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
