Position: Clinical Laboratory Technician - Blood Bank
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Work Schedule: 8 Hours, 5 Days
Shift Timing: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Compensation: $57 - $60/hr on W2
Role Overview:
- Assessing blood types and identifying antibodies
- Performing tests on blood samples to identify possible viruses that may be transmitted through transfusions
- Investigating adverse reactions of the body to blood transfusions
- Managing the collection, separation, transportation, and preservation of blood components
- Supporting healthcare professionals during blood transfusion procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by NYSE
- BLS certification is preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is advantageous
- At least 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Blood Bank environments
