About this Role

The Working Foreman is a critical position that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing, guiding, and ensuring the safety and well-being of site staff. You will also be responsible for documentation and execution of day-to-day field operational needs.

This role involves working closely with the Superintendent to manage crews and sub-contractors. You will ensure safe working conditions, provide training and hazard awareness, and monitor productivity. Your ability to lead and work alongside a team of Journeyman, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen is essential to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and work alongside a crew of Journeyman, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen
  • Lay out work and ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are on site
  • Interact with Superintendent or Project Manager and oversee complete installation on smaller projects
  • Monitor work in progress and evaluate fellow employees' work performance
  • Train field personnel in technical skills and safety methods
  • Communicate with crew, subcontractors, and owner to maintain a good working relationship
  • Inventory, record keeping, organization, and usage of materials
  • Read and understand contract requirements and paperwork documentation
  • Directing, scheduling, addressing disciplinary or employment issues, and approving timesheets
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of relative experience in the Utility or similar industry
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active, Valid Driver's License
  • Active, Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
Preferred
  • Active, Valid CDL A
