Overview:
The Non-Certified Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Technologist is responsible for executing a diverse range of standard and advanced imaging techniques. This role includes providing assistance to fellow imaging professionals as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meets the expectations of the relevant OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Conducts various diagnostic procedures, including more intricate tasks, using cutting-edge computerized imaging technology.
  • Exhibits proficiency in initiating and maintaining intravenous (IV) access and operating high-speed, pressurized injection devices.
  • Assesses patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Follows established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Engages appropriately with patients and all healthcare providers by coordinating and prioritizing tasks throughout the workday to ensure a high standard of patient care and continuity.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to rotate across departments and clinics for adequate coverage.
  • Assists Radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures utilizing CT technology to accurately locate anatomical sites.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring they are well-stocked prior to procedures and compliant with Infection Control standards.
  • Ensures accurate coding and entry of all charges.
  • Adapts patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
  • Performs all duties while safeguarding patient confidentiality and refraining from disclosing any confidential information unless necessary for job performance.
  • Exemplifies adherence to the core values of Christus Health.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent accepted qualification is required.

Experience:
Preferred 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical environment.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
No certifications required.

Work Schedule:
7 PM - 7 AM
