Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing support to students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment, evaluation, and program planning, as well as experience working with regular education teachers to accommodate students in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate students to identify areas of need and develop individualized plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement therapeutic interventions and support students in inclusive settings
  • Develop and implement programs to promote student independence and participation in educational activities
  • Provide training and consultation to staff and families on strategies for supporting students with special needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Alaska state occupational license and Type C Special Services certificate with appropriate endorsement
  • Experience working with children with a broad spectrum of disabilities
