Job Overview

The Weight Loss Program Nurse Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and support to clients enrolled in a medical weight loss program at Thrive Wheeling. This role requires a compassionate, client-focused approach to care, with an emphasis on promoting healthy lifestyle changes, encouraging adherence to treatment plans, and ensuring client safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer weight loss medications, vitamin injections, and vitamin IVs under the supervision of our Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director and in accordance with established treatment protocols.
  • Assess clients at time of consultation and identify health and medical risk factors.
  • Determine the effectiveness of the treatment plan with documentation of client care outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Valid WV Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, staff, management and Medical Director
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft, data-tracking and scheduling software, social media, and general computer/app skills

We offer a competitive salary based on experience: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, paid time off (PTO), continuing education and professional development opportunities, and generous staff discounts.
