Aurora University is seeking talented adjunct faculty to teach a range of biology courses. As a part-time instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and passion for teaching with students.
Course Offerings- BIO 1150 Life Science for Educators: This course surveys the major principles of life science for those majoring in elementary, middle school, or special education.
- BIO 1210 General Biology I: This course studies the cell as the basic unit of biology, covering topics such as structure and roles of biologically important molecules, prokaryote and eukaryote cell structure, and more.
- BIO 1220 General Biology II: This course explores the levels of the biological hierarchy above the individual organism, including microevolution and natural selection, macroevolution, and ecological principles.
- BIO 2200 Humans and Environment: This course provides students with an overview of the relationship between humans and their environment, covering topics such as human population growth, pollution, climate change, and more.
- BIO 2280 Microbiology: This course covers principles and techniques of microbiology, including the structure and life cycles of bacteria, viruses, protists, fungi, and parasitic worms.
- BIO 3530 Evolution: This course discusses evolutionary biology, covering topics such as the evidence for evolution, inferring evolutionary relationships, mechanisms of evolutionary change, and more.
A Master's or PhD degree in biology or a related field is required. Industry experience and college-level teaching experience are preferred.
