Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12-Hour Nights

Guaranteed Hours: 48

Requirements:

  • 1 year of nursing experience required in an Intermediate/Stepdown Level RN role
  • Experience with EPIC for first-time travelers
  • Previous experience with mixed acuity patients, including Intermediate Care, Neuro, and surgical types
  • Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips and expertise in various medical procedures and equipment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a mixed acuity unit handling Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and MedSurg assignments
  • Care for surgical patients, including those undergoing urology, abdominal, and orthopedic surgeries
  • Manage patients with neuro/spine conditions, including CVA, seizures, brain tumors, and spine surgeries
  • Handle general medical cases, including cellulitis, respiratory issues, and renal or hepatic complications
  • Perform wound care and use telemetry monitoring systems
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 in PCU
  • Demonstrate competency in administering medication, including titration of specific drips
  • Utilize a pod structure for efficient patient management
  • Complete 2 days of orientation and additional shifts with a preceptor

Schedules may include weekend rotations and flexibility for working every weekend. Holiday requests must be made before the offer, with certain blackout periods. Compliance with pain scoring audits is required.
