We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients in our inpatient and expanded outpatient facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Preoperative Preparation: Select and prepare equipment, complete room setup, and ensure preoperative documentation is complete.
- Anesthesia Care: Manage all aspects of anesthesia care based on the patient's physiological response to anesthesia and surgery, collaborating with attending anesthesiologists and surgical teams as needed.
- Documentation: Perform accurate and legible preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative documentation.
- Leadership and Education: Participate in research projects, educate student registered nurse anesthetists, and contribute to leadership activities within the department and hospital.
- Education: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.
- Licensure: Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license and Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification: National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Membership in national professional organizations, such as the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
