Indirect Purchase Order Entry Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Indirect Purchase Order Entry Clerk to join our team at Valent BioSciences LLC. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for accurately creating, entering, and processing purchase orders in a timely manner.

• Create and Enter Purchase Orders: Accurately create and input purchase orders into our ERP system (SAP) based on approved submitted quotes and vendor agreements.
• Verify Order Information: Ensure all purchase order details are correct, including pricing, quantities, item descriptions, delivery dates, and terms.
• Coordinate with Vendors: Communicate with vendors to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery schedules and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders.
• Maintain Purchase Order Records: Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase orders and related documents, both electronically and physically.
• Track Order Status: Monitor the status of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Follow up with vendors as needed to expedite orders or address delays.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the procurement, finance, and inventory teams to ensure that purchase orders align with company needs and budgets.
• Resolve Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Coordinate with accounts payable and other relevant departments to ensure accurate payment processing.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all purchase orders comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's in accounting is a plus
• Proven experience in a purchase order entry in SAP or other ERP software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
