We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our research team at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
The successful candidate will engage in full-time advanced research training under the supervision and direction of a faculty sponsor in their research program. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop independent research projects and grant proposals aligned with the individual's research interests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating on grant writing, data analysis, and the development of scientific manuscripts and presentations
- Working with mentors and collaborators to develop independent research projects and grant proposals
- Engaging in training, education, and professional development opportunities offered by the University
Program goals focus on accelerating the trainee's entry into a research career and include:
- Beginning the implementation of a program of research
- Acquiring grantsmanship skills such as written and oral communication, preparation of grant applications, and administering funded grants
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with scientists from other fields
- Training in scientific integrity
Required qualifications include a PhD in nursing or a closely related field, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Nebraska. Supplemental qualifications include prior experience conducting clinical research, strong data management and analysis skills, and a commitment to becoming an independent scientist.
