Job Summary

The Medical Imaging Specialist plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing radiographic procedures and producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. This position requires a strong understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the ability to assess patient data to identify specific needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor consistent with medical ethics.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with the management of non-narcotic medications.
  • Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of procedures.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Registry eligible with A.R.R.T. for no more than eighteen months.
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Acute care experience preferred.
  • Current BLS.
