About the Opportunity
The Pietras and Marquez-Garban lab at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Division of Hematology-Oncology. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on developing innovative targeted therapies for breast and pancreatic cancer, investigate dysregulated myelopoiesis in breast cancer, and lead research projects in collaboration with mentors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to develop targeted therapies for breast and pancreatic cancer
- Investigate the role of myelopoiesis in breast cancer using advanced research techniques
- Lead research projects independently and in collaboration with mentors
- Conduct studies using mouse models to explore tumor biology and drug development
- Analyze and report research findings for publication and presentation
- Contribute to the operations and maintenance of the lab
- Collaborate effectively with a team to achieve research goals
- Ensure workplace safety and follow all guidelines
- Perform assigned responsibilities by the Principal Investigator
Requirements
An M.D. or Ph.D. degree is required for this position. Prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher is not mandatory.
