Position Overview

The Staff Attorney role is dedicated to delivering exceptional pro bono legal services for matters involving domestic abuse, social welfare, senior citizen law, tax guidance, consumer rights, educational issues, and housing concerns. Beyond legal representation, the attorney will consider the comprehensive needs of clients, addressing social and non-medical factors that hinder their recovery and reintegration into stable economic and social environments.

Role Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities: The Staff Attorney will also inform clients about their rights under the Family Medical Leave Act, job security, and eligibility for benefits following treatment.

Qualifications: This position is ideal for attorneys licensed in Alabama who are committed to advocating for underprivileged communities. Alabama acknowledges reciprocity with specific states, and a list of these jurisdictions is available.

Exceptional legal writing and communication abilities are essential.

Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in multiple languages.
