Job Overview

Kable Staffing is seeking a dedicated Mechanical and Electrical Technician to join our team. This role is a full-time direct hire opportunity that involves working in various environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at client sites.
  • Provide on-call service as part of a scheduled rotation, including after-hours assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
  • Conduct post-repair evaluations to ensure all safety features are operational.
  • Document findings and suggest corrective measures, including safety notifications to clients.
  • Advise clients on repair and safety matters, recommending improvements for material handling.
  • Create electronic documentation using company tools, ensuring customer approval.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
  • Accurately complete service reports and other necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator as per established protocols.
  • Ensure company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting any deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and customer guidelines.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma is required; an Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or a related field is preferred, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair is required.
  • Some experience with electronics is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience with cranes is advantageous but not essential.
