Job Title: Reservationist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reservationist to join our team at Chicago (Barton). As a Reservationist, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls, taking reservations, updating the reservations database, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer Inbound Calls: Respond to guest inquiries, take reservations, and provide information about our restaurant and menu.
  • Update Reservations Database: Accurately record and confirm all reservations, and maintain the accuracy of guest profiles.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Anticipate guest needs, greet guests with a warm smile, and respond to guest challenges with patience and courtesy.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure the office and/or host desk are kept clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Comply with Safety and Sanitation Guidelines: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures, including handwashing and proper food handling.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in updating reservations and maintaining guest profiles.
  • Team Player: Be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and able to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends.
