Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Server/Laptop Road Technician to join our team at RetroFit Technologies, Inc. As a key member of our Field Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our clients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively to client sites to perform hardware repairs, installations, and upgrades.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues with servers, laptops, and desktops.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hardware and software systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to internal and external clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure expertise and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in IT field services, with a focus on server, laptop, and desktop hardware.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware management tools, such as HPE iLO and Dell iDrac.
  • Clean driving record and ability to be added to company vehicle insurance policy.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V management.
  • Knowledge of RMM and PSA tools, such as Datto RMM and Autotask.
  • Windows Server 2016+ and HPE server repair certifications.
  • Physical printer troubleshooting and repair experience.
