Job Summary

The Lead Registered Nurse - Float Pool provides high-quality nursing care to patients and their families in assigned units, adhering to the American Nurses Association's Standards of Professional Nursing Practice. This role involves providing primary nursing care for patients, assessing their needs, developing individualized care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care, prioritizing the needs of patients and their families.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing comprehensive care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote patient recovery, safety, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in patient care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
  • At least two years of hospital-based nursing experience, with a strong background in patient care and leadership.
  • CPR certification and any other necessary credentials or certifications to practice as a Registered Nurse in a specialty area.
