We are seeking an experienced front-end Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Opendoor. In this role, you will provide technical leadership in project execution, code quality, architectural discussions, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design discussions and drive architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards
  • Conduct and lead time-critical resolutions of production issues and navigate the team through project pivots
  • Solve complex technical challenges independently and drive some cross-team initiatives
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers within the team
  • Take a leadership role with stakeholders, translating business goals into technical solutions, facilitating discussions, and identifying gaps
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong track record of technical leadership and impactful contributions
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building consumer products
  • Past experience working on Growth teams to drive top-of-funnel conversion
  • Advanced, proven expertise in our frontend stack: Javascript/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, NextJS, and Remix
  • Experience running A/B tests with experimentations platforms (Amplitude Experiment, Optimizely, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mobile app development using React Native
  • Experience implementing advanced animations in CSS
  • Experience with backend development (Go, Ruby, Postgres)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this position is $170,000-$213,000 annually.
