Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans that align with standard medical guidelines.
  • Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order and arrange for appropriate labs, radiology tests, and consults, taking into account evidence-based medicine and costs.
  • Perform Therapeutic Procedures: As indicated by your training, skill set, and experience, perform various therapeutic procedures when clinically relevant.
  • Coordinate Care: Proactively address patient needs by collaborating with the care team, obtaining test results and referral letters, communicating with specialists, health plans, and other facilities.
  • Manage Patient Populations: Manage the health needs of specific patient populations, such as diabetes, hypertension, and smokers, using evidence-based approaches to self-management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy certification from an approved program.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
  • Experience: Current DEA license, Maryland Controlled Substance license, and BLS Certification through American Heart Association or an approved training center.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to stay organized, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
Working Conditions:

Light work, lifting up to 20 pounds on an infrequent basis, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the Medical Director.
