As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, adhering to our mission, vision, and core values, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans that align with standard medical guidelines.
- Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order and arrange for appropriate labs, radiology tests, and consults, taking into account evidence-based medicine and costs.
- Perform Therapeutic Procedures: As indicated by your training, skill set, and experience, perform various therapeutic procedures when clinically relevant.
- Coordinate Care: Proactively address patient needs by collaborating with the care team, obtaining test results and referral letters, communicating with specialists, health plans, and other facilities.
- Manage Patient Populations: Manage the health needs of specific patient populations, such as diabetes, hypertension, and smokers, using evidence-based approaches to self-management.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy certification from an approved program.
- Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
- Experience: Current DEA license, Maryland Controlled Substance license, and BLS Certification through American Heart Association or an approved training center.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to stay organized, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
Light work, lifting up to 20 pounds on an infrequent basis, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Reporting Relationship:Reports to the Medical Director.
