Logistics Technician

Position Overview:
The Logistics Technician is responsible for overseeing supply chain operations from the point of receipt to distribution for both official and unofficial inventory, as well as various supplies and equipment managed by the Materials Management Department's Distribution Center.
This role involves utilizing advanced computer software and devices to accurately input all necessary inventory data into the Supply Chain Management system. The technician will apply FIFO and LIFO methodologies for effective storage management, which includes rotating stock, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring product integrity through regular inspections and expiration date checks.
The position may require operating a box truck and/or cargo van.Key Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience in warehouse operations, stock management, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and twisting is essential. Effective communication skills with staff and leadership at all levels are also required.
