Job Title:

Assistant/Associate Professor in Pediatric Precision Medicine

Job Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University is seeking a highly qualified Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team in the field of pediatric precision medicine. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience and a proven track record of research in epigenetics and genomics.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in pediatric precision medicine, with a focus on neuroscience and the roles of epigenetics and genomics in developmental biology.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of precision pediatrics researchers across several Michigan State University campuses, and with investigators at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital/Corewell Health West and the Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids.
  • Develop and implement innovative research projects, and secure funding to support research initiatives.
  • Teach and mentor students, and contribute to the development of the department's research and educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Neuroscience, Genomics, Epigenetics, or a related field.
  • MD, DO, and/or PhD in a related field, with board certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Eligibility for fixed-term appointment with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A strong record of extramural funding.
