Job Summary:
The Perioperative Registered Nurse is a vital member of the CHRISTUS Health team, responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical interventions. This role requires a strong foundation in current clinical knowledge and established nursing practices, with a focus on providing efficient and safe care to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to ensure effective care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize care delivery.
Requirements:
- One year of recent experience in a surgical setting, with a minimum of 5 years of surgical scrub experience.
- Current Louisiana RN license and current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification required.
Work Schedule and Type:
Per diem, as needed.
