We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Fresh Meadows. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide direct patient care, collaborating with nursing staff to ensure the highest level of service and quality in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to appointments, assist with vital signs, and maintain a clean environment.
- Participate in patient transfers, discharges, and rounds, providing essential support to our clinical team.
- Assist in meal periods, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct searches based on OASAS-approved guidelines, upholding our commitment to safety and security.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or related fields is preferred.
- Satisfactory completion of a nursing assistant or medical assistant program is required.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- A compassionate and caring demeanor is essential for this role.
- Mental Health or Substance Abuse Facility experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in computer applications and basic software skills are necessary.
- CPR certification is mandatory; applicants must obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
