Carter's is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities- Order, receive, and track parts and supplies using established procedures.
- Process and submit reports and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain organized files and databases, and identify and resolve discrepancies in records or files.
- Communicate with management regarding incorrect or inefficient processes, inventory variances, and CMMS deficiencies.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, and maintain the security of financial files.
- Provide support to maintenance operations by generating and maintaining forms, reports, and logs via CMMS.
- Perform weekly inventory checks, track financial transactions, and oversee equipment warranties.
- Issue tools and parts to maintenance as required, and generate reports to assist in purchasing.
- Track and maintain trend performance reporting tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of automated distribution center experience preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of computers, RF Scanners, and Warehouse Management systems.
- Basic working knowledge of conveyor, equipment, and electrical parts.
- Proven team member with skills to multi-task.
- Proficient reading skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, specifically proficient with Excel and Word.
- Must be available to work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment.
- Must be able to stand and work for long periods, including daily overtime, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment.
