Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the facility by performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of the facility, including buildings and equipment.
  • Complete and document work orders and maintenance logs in accordance with established protocols.
  • Utilize a diverse range of tools and equipment, such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, welders, and grinders, with proficiency and safety.
  • Engage with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations while actively seeking improvements in processes.
  • Effectively communicate and interpret safety guidelines, maintenance instructions, and technical diagrams.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors and technical staff to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and HVAC systems.
  • Understand and apply NEC 70E Arc Flash Hazards and associated PPE requirements.
  • Implement Lock-out / Tag-out procedures to ensure safety during maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical components, including motors, drive systems, and transfer mechanisms.
  • Address issues with pneumatic systems, such as compressors and diverters.
  • Repair hydraulic systems, including hoses and pumps.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to support the facility's operational needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in maintenance roles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • EPA 608 Technical Certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Familiarity with crane repair and troubleshooting.
