Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to enhance our dynamic Group Reporting & Financial Reporting team. This role is pivotal in the preparation and dissemination of both external unaudited and audited standalone financial statements, alongside the submission of essential financial data for corporate group reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and issue financial reports, including annual audited and monthly/quarterly unaudited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for external stakeholders, while also supporting internal segment group reporting requirements under IFRS.
2. Draft footnotes for the annual audited financial statements to ensure comprehensive disclosures.
3. Guarantee accurate accounting and presentation of financial statements concerning debt and equity instruments, commodity and financial derivatives, and leases.
4. Facilitate audit support and address inquiries from external auditors regarding financial statement audits and group reporting package reviews.
5. Assist local and group accounting teams with ad-hoc requests related to financial data, including support for business transactions and mergers & acquisitions.
6. Aid in the implementation of new US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, staying informed on regulatory changes, and proactively enhancing accounting practices and financial reporting processes for improved accuracy and efficiency.
7. Foster a high-quality, deliverable-focused culture within the team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience in preparing annual audited financial statements with footnotes.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate with diverse individuals.
• Experience in wind energy project development, power industry, or real estate partnerships is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is beneficial.
• Experience in tax equity is a plus.
