Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Deputy Clerk in our office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing documents, and providing exceptional customer service to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain court documents, including filing, scanning, and indexing.
  • Provide administrative support to court staff, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and routing calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with daily mail distribution, sorting, and processing certified mail.
  • Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining daily records of fees received and preparing cash reports.
  • Collaborate with other court clerks and departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of court procedures, policies, and protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of experience in a law office or administrative setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of standard office procedures, bookkeeping principles, and grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including calculators, copiers, scanners, and computers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with co-workers and the public.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position with a standard 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity while providing exceptional customer service.
