Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at Old Dutch Foods Group. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and supervision skills to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
About the Job:
- Ensure the packaging and process machinery areas are kept clean and meet HACCP standards and specifications.
- Coordinate the activities and workflow of sanitation workers in a cost-effective manner.
- Train, administer, and enforce company practices, policies, and procedures.
- Report any issues that cannot be immediately resolved.
- Recommend and/or make decisions regarding employee status, including hiring, discipline, safety, and promotion.
- Direct, train, and lead the sanitation crew in proper cleaning procedures.
- Maintain personnel records and required sanitary documentation.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Make quick, sound decisions in the company's best interest.
- Motivate staff and ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and areas before production begins.
- Understand the cleaning process and estimate the number of workers needed for tasks.
- Manage any production operations occurring during the night.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew to safely and efficiently complete tasks throughout the building.
- Maneuver around machinery for 50% of the workday.
- Climb ladders/stairs as needed throughout the day.
- Lift and carry loads weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work at a computer station for 20% of the workday.
- Demonstrate strong people skills, including the ability to defuse volatile situations.
- Maneuver cautiously on slippery floor surfaces.
- Inspect and clean equipment as necessary.
- Work in varied environments: hot, humid, cold, noisy, wet, and odorous.
- Lead and train a diverse workforce to maintain quality and sanitation standards.
- Complete safety training and adhere to all requirements.
- Work 40 - 45 hours per week.
- Maintain dependable attendance.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse employee population.
- Exhibit good decision-making and leadership skills.
- Take on responsibilities with little or no direction.
- Demonstrate all cleaning duties to properly train workers.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of HACCP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with food processing manufacturing.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office; experience with JDE is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with attention to detail and good communication abilities.
- High school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in sanitation supervision or equivalent.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
